Our Goal

To serve, develop and empower Egyptian society, meeting people's needs and providing a decent life for them across every governorate of Egypt.

Our Vision

To help people improve their lives and to empower women economically; to stand beside every patient and every family in need with the essentials of shelter, clothing and food; to build young people's capabilities and raise their awareness for a better, more conscientious society; and to develop children's skills and nurture their behaviour.

Our Mission

To pursue excellence and a close link between charitable and development work, and to build successful partnerships between donors and beneficiaries. We dream of establishing Egypt's largest charitable, developmental, industrial and health complex — housing street and homeless children, supporting productive families and small enterprises, and including a school and a kindergarten — so as to achieve justice, comprehensive development and cohesion across Egyptian society.

Our Commitment to Egypt Vision 2030

The Enta Elkheir team has adopted Egypt's Vision 2030. We take our responsibility for delivering the Sustainable Development Goals seriously, holding to the official pledge to leave no one behind, and we contribute towards seven of those goals.
No poverty
Zero hunger
Good health and well-being
Quality education
Clean water and sanitation
Gender equality
Partnerships for the goals

Why Enta Elkheir

Registered, With Clear Governance

A formally registered civil foundation — number 10864 of 2019 — resting on a clear administrative structure of 7 founders, 5 board members and 16 staff. It is a structure built to expand geographically and reach the highest levels of impact, and every project publishes its duration, scope, total value and beneficiary count.

Relief and Development, Together

Our mission is to bind charitable and development work together, so we never stop at immediate relief. We build roofs, connect water and sanitation and rebuild deteriorated homes — and at the same time train women breadwinners in cooking, packing and packaging at Zad Kitchen, and empower them economically growing leafy greens through Zad Organic, so that support turns into lasting income.

Committed to Egypt Vision 2030

We have adopted Egypt's Vision 2030 and take our responsibility for the Sustainable Development Goals seriously, holding to the official pledge to leave no one behind. Our programmes are built around seven specific goals: ending poverty and hunger, good health, quality education, clean water, gender equality, and partnership for the goals.

Present From Cairo to Upper Egypt and Siwa

We began active in the Dar El-Salam district of Cairo, serving close to 2,000 people, then spread across the governorates of Upper Egypt to reach some 18,000 more. Our projects extend to Faiyum, Minya, Beni Suef, Sohag, Assiut, Aswan, Luxor, Damietta and Beheira; the Aman convoys reached the Siwa oasis on the western frontier, and our relief convoys have crossed the border.

A Volunteer Force We Build, Not Just Use

Close to 300 volunteers stand behind the foundation. The Etmaen project hosted more than 300 of them and guided them through field case research; we trained 50 volunteers for development work in Siwa; and more than 150 took part in the Gaza convoys. We do not simply put volunteers to work — we orient them towards the national development plan so they become leaders serving and developing their own communities.

Trusted Partnerships and Earned Recognition

We deepen partnerships with governmental and non-governmental bodies to reach as many people as possible: Haya Karima, Life Makers, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, the United Nations Democracy Fund, the Sawiris Foundation, CARE Egypt, Injaz Misr, Thoth Egypt for Heritage and the city councils. Life Makers selected our Zad Organic initiative among the ten best development initiatives across the governorates.
